The chemical agent is applied to your skin where you may feel a warm and stinging sensation for a few minutes.

After a short period of time our medical professional will neutralise the peel and your skin may be slightly pink to red depending on the peel which has been used.

Glycolic Acid Peel (AHA)

A glycolic acid peel treatment is a specific technique for skin renewal. During this process, a high concentration of glycolic acid is applied to the skin for a short period of time and then chemically neutralised to end the treatment.

The procedure rapidly removes the surface skin cells revealing fresh skin, and stimulating cell rebuilding and restructuring of deeper skin layers. This procedure helps skin appear smoother, healthier, plumper and tighter with more even pigmentation.

Skin preparation with medically prescribed home care products may be required for 2-3 weeks prior to the chemical peel procedure. Special creams are also recommended post peel. Your individualised prescription of care will be discussed during a consultation with a qualified practitioner.

The Skin Tech Easy TCA Peel

Trichloroacetic Acid Peel

This is a highly effective peel that is well tolerated by the skin. The peel is recommended for skin rejuvenation, treatment of acne, age spots and sun damaged skin. The treatment consists of 4 sessions (one per week). It need not interrupt your working life. No anaesthetic is needed as it is not a painful procedure but you will feel some mild heat or irritation. This shows that the product is working. The practitioner will be looking for the first signs of ’frosting’ of the skin after which a post peel cream will be applied to stop the irritation. The skin will feel more taut and healthy within one hour.

There is no skin preparation required for the Easy TCA Peel. Special creams are recommended post peel. Your individualised prescription of care will be discussed during a consultation with a qualified practitioner.
