Anti aging treatment procedures

Initial consultation will involve taking a medical history, discussing treatment expectations and planning realistic goals.

Prior to your treatment your skin will be cleaned and the clinician will explain the injection procedure.

Using a very small fine needle an anti-wrinkle treatment is injected into the specific facial muscles (between the brows, around the eyes, forehead lines). It works by relaxing those muscles and prevents the formation of fine lines and wrinkles. Your skin will appear smoother giving you a younger looking appearance. The pain associated with the procedure is minimal, so sedation is not required.

The results of the treatment are usually noticeable by around 8 days, but it can take 2 to 3 weeks after the treatment that the optimum result is seen.

The effects of the anti wrinkle injections are temporary and last up to 3-4 months (depending on the patient and response to treatment). Repeated treatments are recommended with the effects lasting longer over time.

The anti-wrinkle injection contains a purified protein that blocks the signal from the brain to the nerve endings. Therefore when you laugh or frown your skin will become smoother. Inclusive after care package

Following your anti-wrinkle injection treatment, the staff at Smoothlines will provide you with aftercare advice that will help optimise the results of your treatment. You will be advised not to massage or rub the treated area and will need to treat it gently for 24 hours. You will need to remain upright for 3-4 hours. Do not engage in any strenuous activity immediately after treatment. You will also be advised to repeatedly tense the treated muscle groups for 3-4 hours as the treatment works better in active muscles.
