Dermal Fillers & Sculptra

Lip and lower face enhancement

Lip Definiftion

At Smoothlines we define the lips by injecting hyaluronic acid into the tissue between the red part of the lips and the skin, known as the vermillion border. The procedure will give more definition to the lips and enhance the cupids bow.

Volume of the lips is achieved by injecting filler into the red part of the lip to give a plumping effect. For those who wish to have more of a pout, a larger volume of filler will be injected to achieve this appearance.

Peri -oral lines

Lines around the lip or lip stick bleed can be treated by enhancing lip definition combined with injecting small amounts of filler into each line. Alternatively the lip enhancement can be combined with other anti-wrinkle treatments.

Naso-labial folds and cheek lines

Nasolabial folds are the lines that run from the nose to the corner of the mouth. Prominent nasolabial folds and cheek lines are usually due to loss of supporting tissues in the skin. At Smoothlines we recommend the use of dermal fillers to produce volume under the folds to smooth out their appearance.

Marionette Lines

Marrionette lines are the lines that run from the corners of the mouth down to the chin. These lines are usually due to loss of underlying supporting tissue in the skin. At Smoothlines we recommend the use of dermal fillers to plump out the lines, providing the support that will make them less apparent.

Dermal Filler Treatment procedure

Initial consultation will involve taking a medical history, discussing treatment expectations and planning realistic goals. Prior to the treatment your skin will be cleaned. The clinician will also explain the injection procedure.

The dermal filler is injected into the skin or lips using a very fine needle. The procedure may cause some slight discomfort. A topical or local anaesthetic can be used depending on the area being treated; your clinician will discuss this with you at your consultation.

These carefully selected non-surgical aesthetic treatments are minimally invasive and will therefore cause you little discomfort.

They provide small but incremental improvements to the quality, look and feel of your skin and your overall feeling of well-being over time.

Each treatment takes about 15-40 minutes. Most people find that they can return to work immediately after this procedure.
Procedures available.

At Smoothlines we offer a number of different procedures using hyaluronic acid. Thet have been grouped together to help you decide on the treatment that you desire. All of these treatments are temporary and can last between 6 to 9 months, when a repeated treatment will be necessary.

Inclusive after care package

Following your dermal filler injection treatment, the staff at Smoothlines will provide you with aftercare advice that will help optimise the results of your treatment. You will be advised to avoid touching any treated areas for at least 6 hours. Then the areas can be washed gently with soap and water and light make-up can be applied. If the area is tender, apply some ice to the treatment site.

Do not engage in any strenuous exercise right after the treatment. If possible, avoid the sun, as sun exposure will reduce the persistence of the product. Massage the treatment site if you experience any lumpiness. Do not apply any creams which contain alpha hydroxyl acids. Avoid the sun and wear a sunscreen at all times.

Clients who have had cold sores in the past should note that there is always a risk that injecting any product around the lips may cause the cold sores to flare up. At Smoothlines we will offer preventative treatment for this. Clients taking aspirin or similar medication should be aware that this could increase bleeding and bruising at the sites of injection.

Smoothlines offer complementary follow up as part of their care package. This will allow us to assess the outcome of your treatment as your satisfaction is our utmost concern. Additional treatments that can complement your package of care will be discussed with each individual client.

Free consultation

All of the treatments that we provide have been professionally tested in-house before we offer them to our clients. There will usually be a member of staff with personal experience of a treatment who will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have, and discuss the results that they achieved.

Why not start your consultation now? We can arrange to ring you to discuss your treatment in person. Your medical history will be taken, to ensure that there are no reasons why you shouldn't have the treatment.
